Mountain Bike and Pump Track
Makin Trax did an amazing track building job and we had people who most of their day on the tracks. Next year we are going to get Makin Trax to build bigger and better tracks and we plan to host a pump track race. You can check out the gallery page here or see more photos from the expo on our facebook page.
A big thanks to BMX Victoria for being on the tracks to demonstrate and teach people how to get around the tracks even faster and with more skill.
Ausbike 2010 photo gallery
We have uploaded a selection of photos for those who missed the show or those to just want to look at all the bike bling one more time. Not only were the bikes and accessories looking nice but there were some particularly nice looking stands. We would like to give a special mentions to Sexy Bicycles, Advance Traders and SRAM for doing some wonderful work with their custom stands.

Makin Trax - Ausbike site build begins
It began at 7.30am this morning! The bobcat, wacker and tools arrived on site. Then the boys who created the legendary ”World Cup Pumptrack” at last year’s MTB World’s arrived from Canberra. Makin Trax’s team of Darren and Ben got straight to work. Being the magicians they are in design and construction of mountain bike tracks–the gravel outdoor arena will be sculpted into one of the most talked about demos at this year’s show. Check out the progress and how the 150 cubic metres of dirt is transformed! Also thanks to Trevor Brooks from Humps and Bumps for being on the bobcat. His craftsmanship was on display when Nitro Circus came to town.
MTB pump tracks are designed to be ridden with a hard-tail mountain-bike that the rider ‘pumps” around the track rather than pedaling, using the moment generated from rollers and berms and transitions.
