The proprietors of EZIsafe were told by a second hand dealer of construction equipment that he could not vouch for the ownership of a vehicle he was trading in other than a “gut feel” because any vehicle “off road” is not registered any where! A Customs officer expressed the same discontent about equipment that was being exported.

Since the enormous fires in Victoria, Australia in February 2009 it became more apparent that individuals were finding it difficult to prove their own identity (in some cases) and also to prove their own their belongings when claiming insurance. What about the people that had no insurance and lost everything? How could they prove anything if they could claim against an organisation who were proved to be negligent!?

Documentary proof stored “off site” is paramount now for all households and business.

The methodology used by EZIsafe will allow any retailer (new) to register the serial no’s of the equipment, the chassis and engine number on the database for the purpose of confirming ownership to the customer. The registration is paid at the point of sale. This will allow the retailer to register Date of Purchase, Expiry of Warranty and the expiry of extended Warranty. The warranty registration is Free! In the case of resellers (2nd hand dealers) they can interrogate the database to show EZIsafe registration of the traded in vehicle before selling another one. The customer would then know that the vehicle they have bought has a EZIsafe registration.

EZIsafe will be a useful resource for the recovery of stolen equipment for the use by Police (State and Federal) and the customs organisation.
