2012 Ausbike Bike Expo Release - STAND BOOKINGS NOW OPEN!

Little Peddlers Area
The Little Peddlers Area is designed to get little ones onto bikes. The exhibitors surrounding the area will have products that are specific to young children. Scooters, balance bikes, helmets etc. Bring your kids along and speak with the brand experts and then take your kids for a spin on the Little Peddlers track.

Eureka Concepts and their staff will be on the Little Peddlers area with a couple of Ezyrollers at the following times on the public days:
- Saturday and Sunday: 12-1pm
- Saturday and Sunday: 2-3pm
Strider Bikes and their staff will be on the Little Peddlers area too with their bikes on both Saturday and Sunday from 10-11am.
Bring your kids and let them do a few laps!

BMX Competition Area
For the second year in a row the "Colony King of the Jibs" competition will be on Saturday August 20th at 12pm, so get to the show on Saturday if you want to check out some tech street action. The comp is invite only and there are only 25 spots so if you are keen to ride hit up Cooper Brownlee on colony.team@live.com.
There's $1500 prize money for the winner too...
Also thanks to Colony, at this year's show will be the Newcircle Down Under Ground flatland competition. This one is on Sunday August 21st and starts at 12pm. There will be basic, advanced and pro classes and for more info on this contact Shaun Jarvis on shaun@freestylenow.net
Don't forget it is a trade show too so while you're there you can check out all the latest BMX and MTB bikes and parts as well as some sweet lycra gear if you're into that as well...Both 2020BMX Magazine and Revolution magazine have 10 double passes to the show to give away. All you have to do is email them and let them know who won the King of the Jibs comp at last years show to go in the running. Email answers for 2020BMX Mag to tradeshow@2020bmxmag.com.au or to Revolution MTB Mag on show@revolutionmtb.com.au. The 2011 Expo was a great success from the viewpoint of both visitors and exhibitors. We have uploaded a selection of photos for those who missed the show this year and hope that what you see inspires you to attend next year as an exhibitor or visit on either the trade or public days.

Ausbike Australia
Ausbike was born out of necessity; before the Melbourne Ausbike Bike Show 2009, Australia had no national cycling trade expo. The show was such a success that Ausbike will be hosting two shows in 2010. The first being held in Melbourne on 21st to 23rd August and the second being held in Brisbane from 8th to 10th October.
The Melbourne Show
The exhibition space will nearly double to 20,000sqm and will be hundreds of exhibitors from Australia and around the world. An expected 10,000 bicycle enthusiast and 2500 trade experts will attend the show. Not only has the content of the show increased, but so has the length. Saturday 21st of August will be a public day and Sunday 22nd and Monday 23rd will be trade only days. Ausbike 2010 covers all kinds of cycling including:
- Road, Track, Time Trial, Mountain Bikes, Cross Country, BMX, Trials, Kids, Toddlers, Even Unicycles
Not only will bikes be showing but also an unimaginable array of accessories to go with your bike and your lifestyle. This show is an absolute must-not-miss event for anyone interested in bikes or who works in the bicycle industry. Visitors will be able to:
- See brands from around the world and speak to those who know them best
- Attend seminars by experts on a range of topics including the right questions when buying a bike and skills for retailers
- Watch some of the top riders in mountain bike, road, cyclecross and folding bikes show off their skills in a short course exhibition race.
- Try out public 2010/11 bikes on the specially built test tracks including BMX rail jam, mountain bike track, road bike track and a special kids area
- Attend bike skills sessions hosted by experts
- Look at the new cycling fashion trends including urban and sports
- Chill out and watch some bike flicks in the indoor cinema
