Giant started in 1972 with one goal: Create a better cycling experience for people around the world.

The founders of Giant were craftsmen and engineers. They understood their strengths. So to make cycling more enjoyable and accessible to people around the world, they did what they knew best. They set out to improve the cycling experience by following three guiding principles: craftsmanship, innovation and inspiration.

It began with lightweight aluminum frames. Giant’s ability to produce high-quality bikes at an affordable price allowed more riders to experience cycling in a whole new way. Since then, Giant has pioneered advancements in both aluminum and composite engineering. We introduced the first affordable carbon fiber bike, the Cadex 980 C, and transformed high-performance road bikes with our Total Compact Road design. In mountain biking, Giant’s Maestro Suspension established a new level of performance for off-road riding and racing.

Over the last four decades, Giant has grown well beyond its manufacturing roots to become the world’s leading brand of quality bicycles and gear. With more than 12,000 retail partners worldwide, we aim to inspire adventure in all riders, from casual to competitive.

Welcome to Birota, a brand new bicycle company based in the Netherlands and Asia providing cutting edge design and styling with considerable experience and expertise in the art of building high quality all Dutch designed bicycles.

We are a young, dynamic company who are quickly establishing a reputation for providing modern fresh designs coupled with the traditional values of quality workmanship and excellent value for money.

We make fixed gear bikes, city bikes & traditional Dutch style transport bikes, but we also make bespoke bicycles to order and have partner companies and production facilities all over Asia.

Back in 1958 Alfredo Gios, was just eighteen years old, when he started work in the family business founded ten years before by his father, Tolmino, who had been an excellent professional cyclist participating to several important races and having being selected as member of the Italian National Team during the Berlin Olympic Games in 1936.

In the early times, the Gios business activity was mainly linked to the sale of classical models of City bikes. The turning-point of the company came in November 1971, when Alfredo Gios met Mr. Giorgio Perfetti, owner of the world famous chewing-gum brand “Brooklyn”, during a Cycle show in Milan, where Gios was exhibiting the new bicycle model “Easy Rider”. Right after seeing it, Giorgio Perfetti immediately ordered 100 units of this style for a Lucky Draw organized by his company.

Taga is the product that had to happen and now that it has it’s causing a stir. It has taken all the benefits of a bike and a stroller and put them together in one unique package that allows the user to convert between both leaving no parts behind in 20 seconds.

The frame is made from aluminium alloy and it has 3 internal Shimano gears, front disc brakes and Shimano Nexus roller brake in the back. With a three-wheel structure and a fully sealed chain guard it makes a safe transport alternative with a double seat available for the twins!

Born in Padova, Italy at the base of the Dolomites in the Veneto region, the heart of Italian cycling, Italiatech takes pride in bringing the traditions and the beauty of Italian products to New Zealand and Australian cyclists.

Bicycle Peddler was launched in 2005 following the success of three retail bicycle shops in Sydney.

The Company was started by former Australian professional cyclist John Yeomans who spent time racing in Europe.
In later years John competed in the World Masters Games in Melbourne - winning Gold and Silver medals in 2002.

The company is largely a family business with son Dean, also a cyclist and Australian Rules State Football Representative, at the helm in Melbourne. John's wife Carol and daughter Rebecca look after all the administration functions.

We consider ourselves a boutique wholesaler with some products appearing like any other brand but when you look beneath the surface there are distinctive customer benefits.
