Dolan Bikes Australia is a Queensland owned and operated business, run by the people who own it. Like many cyclists the owners of Dolan Bikes have been riding bikes all their lives. It is their passion and takes them around the world to compete in local and overseas events. They enjoy the comeraderie, the challenges and the exhilaration of being in top physical condition.  Neil was representing Australia in cycling at the age of 16 and competing against some of the best seniors in the world. As a road cyclist he represented Queensland. Today, a generation later, Neil still rides his bike and finds the hardest challenge - climbing mountains - the most rewarding. Peter has ridden with some of the legends of cycling in Europe and was himself a representative for England in his prime. Between them they have won may championships and today both Peter and Neil enjoy racing together and having the challenge of keeping up with and competing with the younger passionate cyclists today. Raoul will host a seminar on the public day about carbon fibre bikes. Carbon fibre bikes, quality, inspection and repair As the number of carbon fibre bikes in the market increases, the issues of how to look after these high performance machines becomes more important. Raoul Luescher, the director of Luescher Teknik Pty Ltd, which designs, manufactures, inspects and repairs composite bikes and components will show you what to look for and how identify damage to a carbon fibre bike component. Raoul will also highlight some common problems, how these can be rectified and dispel some myths on the highest performance material currently used in the bike industry.
