Once upon a time in a great land down under, and far far away lived a quiet man, living a quiet life, named Selwyn Jellie from a quiet town called Perth, Western Australia.

Selwyn's quiet life revolved around his business of home brewing and his passion for swimming. But, alas, the quiet man had a wee little problem, he could not swim without getting seasick (i.e., vomiting.) Now, you might wonder -- why not choose another sport? But the quiet man absolutely LOVED swimming. And swim he did.

 He'd swim and he'd swim and he'd swim, for kilometre after kilometre after kilometre, and he'd spew and he'd spew and he'd spew...

 The quiet man was determined to continue swimming and he needed to find a way to keep precious nutrients in his body during all of this swimming and spewing. For the quiet man was swimming two times a day for 3-4 hours per day at 8-10k per day, 6 days a week at 45+k per week, which gave him plenty of time to think and to create and to develop...

The quiet man garnered the knowledge and skills from his home brewing business, whilst calling upon the aid of a food technologist to develop a SUPERIOR protein and electrolyte drink (E3!) They formulated and they tested and they measured. They mixed and they tasted and they flavoured. The quiet man took his same devotion and dedication towards swimming and applied it to the development of E3. He'd drink E3 and he'd drink E3 and he'd drink E3.

He'd drink E3 whilst swimming 15+ hours in the 10' choppy seas of the English Channel, UK. He'd drink E3 whilst swimming 8 hours around the island of Manhattan, USA. He'd drink E3 whilst swimming 9 hours across the open shipping channel to Rottnest Island, WA.
